Celebrate, Support Leap Frog at 2nd Annual Firecracker Bash
Leap Frog is gearing up for its second annual Firecracker Bash on July 3rd at The Lyric Oxford! There will be fun for all, including the crowning of Mr. and Mrs. America, music by The Bouffants, a silent auction, incredible food, and plenty of dancing!
The Leap Frog Program is a non-profit after-school tutoring and mentoring program for at-risk 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders in the Oxford and Lafayette school districts. The program serves 140 students, with no charge to their families.
Students who attend Leap Frog benefit from a full hour of one-on-one tutoring and a mentoring hour twice a week. Leap Frog is able to keep this program running without charging the families through fundraisers like the Firecracker Bash! Leap Frog recently ended the 2013/2014 school year with 78 percent of its students reading grade level! (Their goal was 75 percent!)
Three couples are currently competing to be named Mr. and Mrs. America next week by raising money for Leap Frog. To donate and help one lucky couple win the crown, Click Here! Todd and Jessica Windham are just one of the couples in the running! Click Here to vote for them!
Your contribution, by donating to one of the competing couples and/or purchasing a ticket to the Firecracker Bash, allows Leap Frog deliver these services to these deserving students to help improve their grades and self-esteem.
Tickets are $25 at the door or in advance or at St. Peter’s or OUUMC churches. Please contact Teresa Adams, Leap Frog’s director, for more information at leapfrogdirector@gmail.com or 662-801-7978.
