LES Student's Family In Need of Help after Fire Destroys Home

Monday afternoon, a letter was sent home with Lafayette School District students about a tragedy that occurred over the weekend.
A student whose name has not been released lost her home in a fire, and the district is looking to its other families to help with donations of homewares and clothing for the student and her family, such as kitchen supplies, towels, bedding and anything else that can be donated.
Anyone who wants to donate to this family should contact Lafayette Elementary School guidance counselor Karen Patterson at (662) 234-5627.
