Oxford Dazzles in Christmas Lights
It’s never Thanksgiving without watching the Macy’s Christmas parade. I even got to see the parade from the street side in New York City in the late 1990s with my mother and grandmother. The parade was rivaled by one thing in NYC’s streets: the stores’ Christmas decoration. Christmas trees glowed from about every shop and restaurant’s windows and large candy canes even towered over the sidewalk acting as a hotel’s awnings. It has been a decade since but a December night in Oxford gave me some deja vu.
Last night my fiance and I looked something like this while enjoying the Christmas decorations in Oxford. Window shopping is fantastic at this time of the year.
I chose ten of my favorites in no ranking order from 60 photos of lights I took around town.

It’s hard to believe how dazzling golden pipe straws are but here it is. I’m inspired to try this at my house next Christmas.

This rotating tree with a train track on it at Belles and Beaus on the Square is tough to just pass by.
I also created a gallery of other lights and trees that I enjoyed.
Happy Holidays y’all!
