UM students are ready to Cruise the Creed to California after having a preparatory meeting.

The University of Mississippi Department of Student Housing and the Office of the Dean of Students are helping send 12 undergraduate students, three graduate students, one staff member, and one faculty member on a unique alternative spring break trip that they will never forget.

This seven-day trip will take participants to the beautiful state of California, where they will work on various community service projects with Yosemite National Park and Project Open Hand and Family House.

With these activities, the students will also have ample opportunities for fun and educational activities along the way. The trip was created to offer students a financially attainable alternative spring break experience that focuses on the values of service, learning and experience.

“We are so happy that this trip will help eliminate the stereotype of the classic spring break for college students,” said Ole Miss senior Tori Champion and junior Bailey Flamm. “We are thrilled to leave the mark of the University of Mississippi halfway across the country.”
