The family of murder victim Dominique “Lucy” Clayton and their attorney will be holding a press conference at 2:30 p.m. Friday in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse.
Clayton, 32, was killed last weekend. Her body was discovered by a family member at about 2 p.m. Sunday.
On Monday, former Oxford police officer Matthew Kinne was arrested and charged with her murder. Family members claim the two were involved in a relationship. Kinne is being held at the Panola County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
Clayton’s family has retained attorney Carlos E. Moore, managing partner of the Cochran Law Firm-Mississippi Delta.
A Mississippi native raised in Moss Point, he is an alumnus of the University of Mississippi Robert C. Khayat School of Law, having completed his last year of law school there as a visiting student.
