
ESPN’s College GameDay is setting up for its first live broadcast from Oxford and the Grove since the show was founded in 1987, and the hype around No. 3 Alabama’s matchup with No. 11 Ole Miss is only growing.
ESPN released its first teaser commercial for the visit this morning, inviting fans and foes to come to the Grove in their best Rebel gear.
ESPN’s crew began setup for the big weekend today and will have a welcome party for the College GameDay bus at 5:30 p.m. in the Circle. The most spirited group present will win backstage passes to the live broadcast Saturday at 8 a.m., and footage from the night will be used during the show.The Grove officially opens at 9 a.m. Friday, but tent setup is not permitted until 8 p.m. Barricades will be removed from campus at 5 a.m. Saturday, campus parking begins at 6 and the shuttles from off-campus lots begin at 7. College GameDay’s broadcast begins at 8 a.m., followed by the Walk of Champions at noon, the Pride of the South in the Circle at 1 p.m. and kickoff at 2:30 on CBS.
