Heaton: Top 10 Things to Do Until Football Starts

We’ve got a long stretch until Ole Miss football returns to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in September, and we’ve got a few things to keep you occupied in the offseason.

sleep_rest1. Catch up on sleep. Turn on a soccer match or CSPAN to help you nod off.

2. Catch up on reading. Check out Friday Night Lights, Dixieland Delight and The Blind Side to still feel like football hasn’t abandoned you.

3. Finish the Great American Novel. The reading list should give you plenty of material.

5. Take a round the world cruise in a sailboat. Take Nos. 2, 3 and 4 with you.

6. Take care of that knee replacement you’ve been putting off. You’ll have plenty of time to rest up before pre-season workouts start.

7. Learn a foreign language. Like New Yorker, or BBQ (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens).

9. Compose some music. If Pitbull can do it, anyone can.

10. Train for the Bring the Wing Festival. You’ll be sick afterward until football.
