An Oxonian mother is asking for the community to help her raise money for the Oxford Middle School’s eighth grade 2016 trip to France.
She shares her story on a fundraising website:
My name is Karrian Brown and I am the fundraising leader for the eighth grade 2016 trip to France. I am a devoted wife and mother of three. Although, I feel like I’m a mother to many more. My passion is to breed success by support through education. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to send fifteen students to travel on my own so my contribution is to help in any way possible.
Fundraising for France is a campaign that has been organized for the student travelers of the Oxford Middle School in Oxford, Mississippi. We have 15 students who want to extend their educational value by traveling abroad with classmates. On this journey, they will learn about culture, language, diversity, geography and philosophy. The students can only achieve their goals with the assistance of generous donations from contributions. Without these donations, serving others would not be possible to build strong futures.
Since the student travelers of Oxford Middle School relies on the generosity of individuals like you, we write to ask you to consider a donation to our cause. We hope that you will help support our efforts. The tour has been assigned through EF Education First Tours www.eftours.com. They will tour Paris, Brittany and Normandy.
Our goal is to raise $46,350.00. The funds will be used to cover trip cost and expenses for all fifteen students paid directly to EF Tours. Our contributors will receive a thank you epost card from the group. By chance, if we do not reach our goal the funds will be evenly distributed among the students, paid directly to EF Tours to put towards the trip. Funds for cancellation will be distributed among the remaining students paid directly to EF Tours.
Overall, this is a once and a lifetime experience for the students to explore that education has endless possibilities. As a community we want to continue educational growth. Your contributions will educate students otherwise that may never see life outside of their hometowns. More importantly, your contributions will show students how to give to a good cause that will breed success through support for future students. We want to continue propagating education throughout the world.
