SEC Power Rankings: Alabama-LSU Showdown in Baton Rouge

SEC Power RankingsAlabama and LSU top the league’s billing this week as Florida travels to Arkansas; Georgia is at Kentucky; Texas A&M is at Mississippi State; Vandy is at Auburn; and Missouri goes to Columbia, SC to round out league action. In the two nonconference matchups, GA Southern comes to Oxford and TN Tech is at Tennessee.

The Power Rankings changed very little from the prior week…..

Ole Miss fell to a western division team once again, this time losing a home game to Auburn 40-29. Chad Kelly had an incredible night passing, topping Archie Manning’s single game record. However, the defense was unable to stop the Tigers. In other games, Florida defeated Georgia 24-10; Kentucky over Missouri 35-21; MSU 56-41 defeating Samford; Texas A&M destroyed New Mexico State 52-10;3 and Tennessee falling to South Carolina 24-21 on the road.

The Rebels are now forced to win three out of their final four games to become bowl eligible, including a road trip to Nashville.
