All White Everything: How to Dress for the Ole Miss White-Out Game

Published

on

In lieu of the first home game of the season, we thought it very appropriate to divulge the best “White-Out” looks for the 2015 fall season.

With the September 5th game being right around the corner, and only two days shy of Labor Day, white was the obvious choice of color to kick off the Rebel football season. While white can be one of the hardest shades to pull off in the summer heat, the cool hue can also be fun to play with when mixing patterns and textures! Below, we have put together a selection of white-inspired styles that will be sure to compliment your game-day style.

Five Easy Ways to complement your white-out look

  1. All About That Lace

Lace is always a statement piece when it comes to wearing white in the summertime. Not only is the material cool and lightweight for the smoldering summer temperature, but it also is a timeless, elegant look that will compliment and flatter any body type.

2. 50 Shades of White

Mixing different shades of white together will always add more dimension and depth to your overall fashion guise. Pair a pair of slim white, high-waisted skinnies (or regular fit) with a loose-fitting ivory blouse, and you immediately get a high fashion, wearable look. Next, accessorize these white on white pieces with a pop of color and your look is complete

Mixing different textures of white together can also boost your fashion chic. This look is a fun way to play around with old and new pieces in your closet, while at the same time giving you a runway look with an affordable price.

  1. Double the Trouble

Two-piece sets are fashion’s hottest trend right now. Pair a white fitted top with loose white shorts, or a slightly cropped top paired with a flowy skirt, and voila, statement made!

  1. Color Pops

Adding a pop of color to any white on white look can transform your entire look. Bold, chunky statement pieces (obviously red or blue ;)) are always fun when looking to make a daring presence. Another fun pop of color can also be added to your overall ensemble with the perfect pair of shoes! Glam your exteriors up with hot, colored pumps for the perfect game-day look.

My advice: don’t stick with the traditional rules of wearing white! Have fun and think out of the box when it comes to putting your white on white trends together! Mixing white skirts, jeans, dresses, kimonos, and tops can add a chic, modern feel to your look, and have every head turned on gameday.

“In lieu of” means “instead of,” so the first sentence actually says, “Instead of the first home game of the season…” Perhaps you meant, “In light of…”

Improper use of “In lieu of”. Did anyone proof this article?
