Miss-I-Sippin’ Doesn’t Disappoint Over the Weekend
Yoknapatawpha Arts Council (YAC) hosted its wildly successful craft beer festival – Miss-I-Sippin’ – over the weekend, re-establishing it as one of Oxford’s favorite festivals.
The festival, which began on Friday, April 1 with a Brewer’s Dinner at the Powerhouse, brought in approximately 250 patrons over the two-day event.
Oxonian Jimmy Phillips provided smooth background music at the dinner portion of the festival on Friday where food and craft beer flowed freely to patrons and friends of the arts. Several local and regional brewers kept the pace steady all throughout the evening.
The gallery below features a whole lot of friendly, smiling faces at both the Brewer’s Dinner and Saturday’s continuation at the outdoor Oxford Pavilion on University Avenue.
Skies were clear, temps were cool and music and beer (again) flowed freely from noon through 6 p.m. And, it was good to see several of our local four-legged friends enjoying the day, too.
Congratulations and Hotty Toddy to YAC, the brewers and all organizers of the popular event. We’ll see you again next year.
