Our beloved City of Oxford shares two common and distinctive features with England — double decker buses and roundabouts. We’ve all gotten used to having them around, and they are part of what makes Oxford special. While most people have become pretty adept at handling the single-lane roundabouts, the two-lane variety introduced at Old Taylor and Highway 6 in the fall of 2014 still presents some challenges, even to those who drive them often.
The Oxford Police Department recognized that fact when they were first built and did a little video to help explain the proper way to “round” and exit the fancy roundabouts. Additionally, MDOT came out with a helpful animation.
With Ole Miss graduation upon us and a flood of visitors arriving, we thought we’d share these helpful videos. We learned a thing or two watching them as well! Please use the buttons at the top or bottom of this story to share this with anyone you know who might need a little guidance.
