Ole Miss rising junior Andrea Hightower represented Mississippi in the Miss Collegiate America pageant this weekend where she received two different accolades—best evening gown and best interview.
These separate divisions are two of the highest scoring categories in the competition, according to Hightower.
“I’m a little disappointed by not making the top 15,” she said. “But, I am super appreciative of my awards.”
Hightower said she looks forward to the next chapter of her life—pageant retirement—so she can focus on school.
“I will still coach girls and do hair and makeup,” she said. “But, my time for competing is over for at least three years.”
Miss Rhode Island Collegiate, Riley Copans, was crowned Miss Collegiate America 2018.
