TJ Knows Best; Local Photographer Shoots Oxford

Local funnyman, ex-UM professor, semi-coherent columnist, beloved Oxonian, wildlife enthusiast and pretty dang good photographer TJ Ray submitted a folder to HottyToddy.com filled to the brim with outstanding winter images that he’s shot during rare snow appearances around the L-O-U community over the past few years.

According to almanac.com, this may be as close as we’ll get to a much-anticipated winter wonderland this season considering the most recent forecast released for North Mississippi:

Winter will be drier than normal. The north will have below-normal temperatures and above-normal snowfall, while the south will have near-normal temperatures and no snowfall. The coldest periods will be mid- and late December, mid-January and early February; with the greatest threats for snow in mid- to late December, early and late January, and early and mid- to late February.

There you have it, folks. Looks like we’d better hunker down and download Professor Ray’s photos and tape them to our front windows if we want a repeat performance this season.
