Wimmer Cookbooks Company has just produced a soft-cover, perfect-bound edition of Gimme Some Sugar, Darlin’, by Laurance (Laurie) Daltroff Triplette, that will be offered for sale exclusively through the QVC Shopping Network. Wimmer is the cookbook division of Mercury Printing, a subsidiary of Consolidated Graphics.
Gimme Some Sugar, Darlin’ will be the featured cookbook on March 17 during the “Cookbook Corner” segment of QVC’s popular Sunday cooking show, In the Kitchen with David, which airs each Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central time. Host David Venable, one of the top sellers of cookbooks in the country, personally selected Gimme Some Sugar, Darlin’ for his show. And, after having completed and “passed” the QVC guest host training, Triplette gets to appear on air during the Cookbook Corner segment to chat about the book.
This QVC edition of Gimme Some Sugar, Darlin’ contains all of the original contents of the 2011 wraparound hard-cover edition, but with the addition of beautiful color food photographs in each recipe section. The QVC edition is being offered at special pricing, designed specifically to appeal during the Spring holidays to consumers who need gifts for upcoming graduations, weddings, and holidays.
In case you miss the televised airing, Gimme Some Sugar, Darlin’ will be offered as well through the QVC web site. Also visit www.tripleheartpress.com for more information on the book.
The original, hardcover version of the cookbook is still being offered for sale across the South through indie bookstores and nonprofit gift shops, including these Mid-South sellers: Square Books, Booksellers at Laurelwood, Lemuria Books, Reed’s of Tupelo, Main Street Books, the Cotton Museum of the Memphis Cotton Exchange, the Women’s Exchange of Memphis, the Shop of the Mississippi Crafts Guild, Cotton Row Books, Sulm’s Gifts, the Mississippi Gift Company, Camden Gifts, Southern Food and Beverage Museum, Historic Arkansas Museum, Eggshells, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and Craft.
