William Faulkner The ReiversWilliam Faulkner’s last book published was in 1963, The Reivers. In 1969 Hollywood made it into a movie starring Steve McQueen. McQueen’s character “borrowed” his employer’s car and took it to Memphis. The actual word “reiver” is old Scottish slang for horse or cattle thief.
