Ole Miss Quarterback Club Rocks With Signing Day Cheers
The Ole Miss Quarterback Club has packed the Oxford Conference Center with hundreds of Ole Miss fans. Coach Hugh Freeze will be speaking at 1:45 p.m. for the National Signing Day event. The party is featuring a sea of red and blue and has brought out some Rebel favorites like former chancellor Robert Khayat.
“We have a lot to celebrate — this wonderful leadership we’re getting from athletics, and not only the athletics, but the university as well,” said Khayat.
Registration for the event was going strong for the QB Club event well into the morning as Rebel fans revel in the fact that Ole Miss has moved from the No. 13 recruiting class in the nation to No. 5.
The Rebel faithful have a lot to celebrate so far. Early this morning, Robert Nkemdiche, the top recruit in the nation, announced his decision to play at The University of Mississippi. He will join his brother, Denzel, who also plays for The Rebs, on the gridiron this fall. Prior to signing day, Laquon Treadwell, the nation’s top wide receiver, committed to playing at Ole Miss as well.
The event lasts until 3 p.m. today. HottyToddy.com will be at the event and will continue to provide coverage from the Quarterback Club party throughout the day.
