Event introduces Oxford’s School fall sports teams
Oxford, Mississippi – A new school year means the start of fall sports.
The Oxford School District’s Athletics Program and the Oxford Charger Athletic Booster Club will host Meet the Chargers on Monday, August 19, at the Oxford High School football stadium’s East (visitor) side.
The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with fall team sport introductions following.
The event is free and open to the public.
“All fall sports will be recognized, and coaches will give a brief preview of the year ahead and expectations for the season,” said Assistant Athletic Director Louis Nash.
Participating teams include football, swim, cross-country, volleyball, slow pitch softball, cheer and band.
Immediately following Meet the Chargers, there will be a general meeting in the athletic facility meeting room for all Booster Club members and anyone interested in attending.
