Providing therapeutic and relaxing massages, facials, pedicures, and manicures, Oxford’s soothing new Suthern Oasis Spa (yes, that’s how it’s spelled) hopes to make healthy choices enjoyable.

“I believe in body work, and I want everyone to be able to benefit from it,” says Suthern Amber Dickinson, owner of the spa. “I wanted a place that was relaxing where you can take care of yourself and your well being.”

Dickinson hopes to make these healthy and enjoyable choices that much sweeter by offering organic, nontoxic treatments.

“I was looking around Oxford at of all of these great places to eat and great places to shop, but there is nowhere that was chemical-free or organic here,” she says. “You can have chemical-free fingernail polish, and we just try to teach people that you do have a choice in the things that you purchase.”

Suthern Oasis Spa is not your average nail salon, but rather more like a modern day wellness center. Dickinson aims to pamper a variety of individuals of all shapes, sizes, ages, sexes, and lifestyles.

“We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to take the best care of their mind, body, and soul,” states Suthern Oasis Spa’s mission statement. “We strive to provide excellence in every treatment session giving men, women and children the care and attention they need and desire.”
