With all the hoopla surrounding Ole Miss hosting Texas A&M don’t forget that our own Oxford High School Chargers celebrated their homecoming with on-campus spirit activities. Part of the fun was the creation and display of spirit signs for each grade made out of chicken wire. The signs face Bramlett Road.
On Oct 11 for half the day the high school conducted a pep rally and carnival with game booths and fundraising activities. To make the day and evening complete, the Chargers defeated Lewisburg 40-9 in their homecoming game amid all the pomp of the presentation of the Homecoming Court.
