Oxford Cruises Past Lake Cormormant into Playoffs

The Oxford Chargers closed out their 2013 regular season schedule with a 45-17 victory over Lake Cormorant on Friday night.

Oxford got on the scoreboard first by a touchdown pass from Jack Abraham to Tommy Knight in the first quarter and never looked back.  The Chargers then added an additional 24-points in the second quarter.

At half time Oxford led Lake Cormorant by a score of 31-0.

With the win the Chargers push their winning streak to 11 games on the year.  Oxford will host Vicksburg in the first round of 1- 5A state playoffs next week.
