BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss freshman phenom Laremy Tunsil was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday after helping the Rebels to a 34-24 win over Arkansas this weekend.

Tunsil, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound true freshman tackle from Lake City, Fla., helped Ole Miss pile up 531 total yards and a near-school record 428 passing yards in the SEC victory over the Razorbacks. The Rebels surpassed 500 total yards for the third straight game and the fourth time this year.

One of two true freshmen in the country serving as his team’s full-time starting left tackle, Tunsil has allowed only one sack all season while protecting Bo Wallace’s blind side. His season performance has more than lived up to his billing as the nation’s top-rated offensive tackle coming out of high school last year.

This is the first SEC weekly honor for Tunsil.
