Oxford High Marine JROTC Hosts Drill & Rifle Meet
Oxford High School’s Marine Corps JROTC recently hosted a Drill and Rifle Meet with the Oxford High team finishing second overall.
South Panola High School finished first overall, and third overall went to Greenwood High School. In Rifle Team standings, Oxford High School finished fourth out of eleven teams
Oxford High School Marine Corps JROTC cadets who placed in the competition include:
First Place Trophy for Inspection Cadet Kendall Jenkins, Commander
First Place Trophy for Armed Regulation Drill Squad Cadet Michael Scott, Commander
Second Place Trophy for Armed Exhibition Drill Squad Cadet Zachary Hatcher, Commander
Third Place Trophy for Unarmed Regulation Drill Squad Cadet Baryn Rasberry, Commander
Third Place Trophy for Color Guard Cadet Lawson Barrett, Commander
Third Place Trophy for Unarmed Drill Exhibition Squad Cadet Erin Crockett, Commander
Oxford High School Cadet Clifford Blaylock won first place overall in the Individual Drill Competition during the Drill and Rifle Meet. OHS students Colton Davis, Harrison Davis, Michael Scott, and Shonta Bowen earned recognition as Individual Rifle Medalists. South Panola High School, Germantown High School (Madison, Mississippi), Horn Lake High School, Greenwood High School, and Oxford High School competed in the Drill and Rifle Meet.
