The Noodle Bowl Offers Large Selection of Asian Cuisine

Peter Wong came to the United States from Hong Kong 30 years ago. It was a good move.
And when a friend from Jackson, Miss. who works in real estate development suggested he open a restaurant in Oxford, it was a great move.
Wong opened The Noodle Bowl on West Jackson Ave. five years ago. The Noodle Bowl offers more 150 Asian-inspired options in a small bistro-style restaurant located just off the Ole Miss campus.
With 15 employees, 40 different appetizers, and another 100-plus dishes on the main menu, The Noodle Bowl gives patrons a range of tastes reflecting flavors from China, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand.
“We offer a good selection of Asian foods and are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.,” Mr. Wong said.
Every guest is treated to three small appetizers served before each meal. Typically, one is fish, one beef, and one pork or chicken. The Noodle Bowl’s extensive menu includes sushi, soups, salads, poultry, beef, pork, seafood, vegetables, rice bowls, deserts and, of course, noodles. Most meals are around $9 and guests often take home left overs from super-sized servings.
“The move to Oxford was a good one, it is a good market for us,” Mr. Wong said.
