The Memphis Grizzlies are one game away from advancing into the second round of the NBA playoffs. On Tuesday night, the Grizzlies defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder by the score of 100-99.
With the win, Memphis took a 3-2 lead in the series going into game six on Thursday night at the ‘Grind House’.
With just 2.9 sec remaining in the overtime, Kevin Durant pulled up for a go-ahead three- point bucket. His attempt rimed out and teammate Serge Ibaka tried to tip the ball in with time left on the clock for the win.
Ibaka did tip the ball into the basket, and fans in the arena celebrated, but time had already expired before the ball left Ibaka’s fingertips. The refs confirmed the ruling on video replay.
Game six is huge in the Forum on Thursday. With a win, the Grizzles advance to take on the winner of the Los Angles Clippers and Warriors matchup.
Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
