The Most Interesting Man In The World
In 2006, Jonathan Goldsmith’s life changed dramatically when he would become known as “The Most Interesting Man in the World.” For some 40 years, the journeyman actor enjoyed numerous credits, but none as widespread as the spokesperson for Dos Equis’ beer commercials. Having lived in Hollywood, Goldsmith and wife Barbara now reside in Vermont with their two dogs. Sound familiar?
Everyone always raves about the Super Bowl commercials. However, my vote for creativity (and definitely humor) goes with Dos Equis. We all have our favorite lines from these classics as there are many to choose from. My favorites follow…..
If opportunity knocks and he’s not at home, opportunity waits.
In a past life, he was himself.
He gave his father…”the talk”.
His passport requires no photograph.
When he drives a car off the lot, its price increases in value.
He once went to the psychic, to warn her.
His Cinco de Mayo party starts on the 8th of March.
The circus ran away to join him.
He once brought a knife to a gunfight…just to even the odds.
The dark is afraid of him.
Mosquitoes refuse to bite him purely out of respect.
He once had an awkward moment, just to see how it feels.
Panhandlers give him money.
And one I’ve just created….”He once traveled to Oxford in search of his soul mate…Ed Meek.”
Stay thirsty my friends!
