This weekend’s game against Tennessee will only be the second chance for the Ole Miss Rebels to start off at a 7-0 record in program history.
To do this, the No. 3 Rebels will have to defeat the Vols in Oxford, which has only been done once in four games played at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. It was back on Nov. 14, 2009, where Dexter McCluster set a new school record with 282 rushing yards and 324 all-purpose yards in the 42-17 win over the Volunteers.
McCluster had a break out day against UT, scoring on runs of 15, 23, 32 and 71 yards. That win was the first time Ole Miss had defeated the Volunteers since in 1983.
McCluster will be back in Oxford at Rebel Rags on Nov. 1 before the kickoff of the Auburn signing autographs for fans.
