Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning celebrates his 509th career touchdown pass with teammates during the first half of an NFL football game against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday.

Future pro football hall of famer first ballot Peyton Manning made history Sunday night, passing Brett Frave as the all-time leading career touchdown passer in the NFL.
The Denver Broncos quarterback’s 509th touchdown pass was a eight-yard pass to Damrius Thomas in a prime time game against the San Francisco 49ers. He now stands alone atop the list with 510 touchdown passes by the end of the game.
Peyton, a New Orleans native born during his father’s run with the Saints, was the only Manning in the family to not choose Ole Miss, opting to be quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers in the ’90s. His father, Archie, and his brothers, Cooper and Eli, all attended Ole Miss.
