Sandwich Watch: BBB's With Signs Following
Some of the very best sandwiches I’ve ever had involved a fried egg or pimento cheese. Today, I had both, and the sandwich ranks in my top five.
It’s called With Signs following. The Big Bad Breakfast menu offers it as follows:
“THE breakfast sandwich on white or wheat; choice of one egg; bacon, patty sausage, country ham or andouille; dressed with lettuce, tomato, and our Tabasco mayonnaise”
And you can add cheddar, swiss, or pimento cheese. I went with the following config: Wheat, sunny-side-up egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Tabasco mayo, and pimento. Home fries on the side.
It’s the best sandwich I’ve had featuring pimento since the Say Dixie at B.T.C. Old-Fashioned Grocery in Water Valley. My only regret is that some of it was wasted when it clung to my mustache, which then required extra napkins, which isn’t very green.
