Ole Miss with 6 Selected to AP All-SEC Team
On Monday afternoon, the Associated Press released its All-SEC football team and the Ole Miss Rebels had six players on the team.
Five of the six who wear the red and blue are first-team selections.
Rebel tight end Evan Engram and tackle Laremy Tunsil or on the offensive team list while Robert Nkemdiche, Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt were first-team defensive selections.
On the 2014 season Engram recorded 37 receptions for 651 yards and two touchdowns. While teammate Tunsil played in ten games and was a top blocker for quarterback Bo Wallace.
The Landshark defense has been anchored by Robert Nkemdiche who has been a real force on the defensive line. Nkemdiche had a total of 33 tackles on the year with two sacks. Golson pulled in a team leading and SEC nine interceptions on the year.
Safety Tony Conor was named to the All-SEC second team defense.
The Rebels will be back in action on New Years Eve as they take on the TCU Horned Frogs in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
