Indianola Fresh Market Relocates to Highway 6
Not even a week into 2015 and there are changes happening around Oxford as Indianola Fresh Market preps to move to its new location this week.
The fresh meat and seafood shop currently on Jackson Avenue by CVS will be moving a stone’s throw away to Highway 6 between The Links at Oxford and local radio station Q93.7. Owner Will Adams said the move was logistic, giving him a better location for drops of fresh Indianola fish and delicacies. Still unsure of an opening date, the new location will be ready either Jan. 12 or 15.
Adams also said the market has recently started a membership club for those who crave the freshest ingredients of the Mississippi Delta.
“It’s $30 a month or $300 a year, and you get meat and seafood at 5 percent above cost,” Adams said. “You save your membership fee back very quickly. We make it to where you can get prime rib eyes around $8.99 a pound.”
Though the hours are odd, the market is open seven days a week: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday after fresh delivery, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1:30 to 5 p.m. on weekends. Any specific orders can be placed with Adams by Tuesday at 11 a.m. for return to Oxford Wednesday afternoon.
