Eating Oxford
Big Bad Breakfast is Best at Bacon
It’s a silly Friday when we can write an alliteration headline, but the BBB really did get listed among 21 restaurants nation-wide for best bacon dishes.
Thrillist.com is an online publications and sales site that talks everything food, drink and travel related. Just yesterday one of its writers, Adam Lapetina, wrote an article featuring 21 best bacon dishes in America, in no ranking order. Oxford’s own Big Bad Breakfast, part of the City Grocery Restaurant Group, is in it!
Here’s an excerpt:
“The long wait is well worth it at this college-town brunch joint (owned by the famous City Grocery folks), which features a menu full of “Big Bad Breakfast Bacon” that they expertly cure and cook in-house. One of the best — and most unequivocally Southern — applications of said bacon is their shrimp and grits, in which the bacon is cured with brown sugar.”
We’re honored for yet another national media shout-out to Oxford. See y’all at BBB on this weekend!
