The chase for another run at the mecca of college baseball which is known as Omaha, Nebraska is here. As the Ole Miss Rebels look to get back there again in the 2015 season, but first the Rebels will have to face the Tribe of William and Mary in a three game series.

Last season, Ole Miss got knocked out of the College World Series by the Virginia Cavaliers, ending a 48-21 run in 2014. One game shy of playing in the national championship series. After getting back from Omaha the Rebs lost a lot of key parts to that run either to the MLB draft or to graduation.

This year the coach Mike Bianco has several familiar faces up and down the batting order like: Sikes Orvis, Errol Robinson, Colby Bortles, Sam Smith and Christian Trent to name a few. Along with some new faces that will step in and help the Rebels from the start of opening day.

The first test for Ole Miss will be William and Mary who ended last year with their third-straight 30 or more game winning streak. The Tribe finished the year with a 34-22 record and went 15-5 in Colonial Athletic Association.

The Tribe is coached by Brian Murphy who is in his second season at the helm of the club. He has a group of three players to captain his squad this season in seniors Jason Inghram, Willie Shaw and junior Ryan Hissey.

Among the turning veterans for Murphy he welcomes in nine freshman into the mix.

This weekend the pitching rotation for this three-game series will matchup Inghram and Trent on Friday, Nick Brown vs Sam Smith on Saturday and Mitchell Aker matching wits against Brady Bramlett.

Game times for this series are slatted for 4 p.m. on Friday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday respectively.
