Lady Rebels Host Wildcats for Tickled Pink
The Ole Miss women’s basketball team will partner with Baptist Hospital of North Mississippi to present its seventh annual “Tickled Pink at the Tad Pad” event in conjunction with the nationwide Play4Kay week on Feb. 23 when Ole Miss takes on No. 11/10 Kentucky at 6 p.m. on SEC Network.
Ole Miss fans are encouraged to show support by wearing pink attire to the game. Ole Miss will be giving away pink commemorative shirts to the first 500 fans along with numerous pink-themed giveaways throughout the night. There will be free admission for all Baptist Hospital North employees as well as employees of the Baptist Cancer Center and members of Baptist cancer groups.
The Ole Miss women’s basketball team will be getting into the action wearing special pink uniforms and pink shoes. The uniforms will be auctioned off through a silent auction throughout the game. Fans will be able to bid on the uniforms throughout the game at a marketing table on the concourse.
Below is a list of all the initiatives taking place during the Kentucky game:
Silent Auction for Game Worn Pink Jerseys – Fans will have the chance to bid on jerseys worn the Ole Miss players during the game. Bidding will only take place during the game.
Cancer Survivor Guest Coaches– The Ole Miss women’s basketball team will have several cancer survivors serve as guest coaches for the day’s game.
Honoring Cancer Survivors – Throughout the game, Ole Miss will honor cancer survivors.
Twitter – Fans are encouraged to use the Twitter Hashtag #RebsWearPink and tweet @OleMissWBB during the game to share their own cancer stories or to tweet in honor or memory of a loved one who has battled cancer.
