The Ole Miss baseball team returns the diamond tonight to take on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles at Trustmark Park in Pearl.

Ole Miss comes into the game with a 16-16 record after dropping the SEC series to Tennessee over the weekend. The Vols won the backend of the series to bring the Rebels to a .500 overall record.

Sophomore J.B. Woodman and freshman Will Golsan hit .467 and .412, respectively, throughout the four games last week

Southern Miss is currently 17-11-1 on the 2015 campaign after taking two of three games from UAB in conference play this past weekend. The Golden Eagles are led at the plate by freshman Taylor Braley, who is hitting at a .394 clip.

While senior Matt Durst boasts a .321 batting average to go along with five doubles, two triples and a pair of home runs.

The probable pitching for tonight’s game showcases the arm’s Cord Cockrell for the Golden Eagles and Evan Anderson for the Rebels.

Tonight’s game will be the 120th meeting on the diamond between Southern Miss and Ole Miss, and the Rebels holding a 71-48 all-time series lead. Earlier in this season, USM defeated Ole Miss 5-1 in Hattiesburg.

Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m. and will be carried on the Ole Miss Radio Network.
