Lafayette County Under Flash Flood Warning Until 12:30 p.m.

Unknown-13The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a flash flood warning for the Southeastern portion of Lafayette County until 12:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Doppler radar estimates one to three inches of rain has occurred since this morning, and showers and thunderstorms will continue producing an additional one to three inches until 12:30 p.m.

Locations that will experience flooding include the city of Oxford, Tula, Paris, Denmark, Lafayette Springs, Altus, Delay and Yocona.

Take precautions
Move to a higher ground immediately. If you are driving, turn around and do not attempt to drive down flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
