At the first weekly press conference for the 2015-2016 season, head coach of Ole Miss football Hugh Freeze and director of Ole Miss Athletics Ross Bjork both made significant announcements.

Hugh Freeze announced to the reporters that junior transfer Chad Kelly will take the first snaps this weekend against UT Martin Skyhawks. However, he clarified that his choice for a starting quarterback between Kelly, DeVante Kincade and Ryan Buchanan isn’t set in the stone.

Ross Bjork announced that the stadium will have upgrades by 2016 – natural grass, three big screens and an updated sound system. Ole Miss is also up to $96 million from $57 million in 2011. The Pavilion will also have the nation’s largest video board.

Ole Miss will also wear powder blue helmets against Vanderbilt on September 26 for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
