Coulter Fussell, owner of YaloRUN Textiles, is hosting a kids’ salt dough ornament workshop from Nov. 23 to Nov. 25. Children will make salt dough following a recipe and design their very own Christmas ornament.

“I like to go from the very, very beginning of the process to the very end,” Fussell said. “They’ll be doing everything, learning about modeling shapes. They make their ornaments, and then we bake them in the oven, and then the next day we come back and we paint them. Then we furnish them hang them on the Christmas tree.”

Fussell said walk-ins are welcome, and the price for one child to attend the workshop is $50. Fussell offers a 10 percent discount to siblings.

Fussell also offers weekly workshops at YaloRUN Textiles, including a Tuesday night knit club.

In December, Fussell will be hosting a dye workshop for adults, where participants will collect plants from the woods, prep the materials, make the baths and dye the material.

Fussell has several other workshops for all ages throughout the year. Find out more about her workshops on the website, yaloruntextiles.com. YaloRUN Textiles is located on 211 N. Main St. in Water Valley, Mississippi.
