Organic! That’s it!
HottyToddy.com’s sociable photo contributor, Dr. TJ Ray, usually inundates us with photos of Lafayette County wildlife: hummingbirds, deer, turtles, rodents, other birds and the like.
This week however, we get fungi … mushrooms!
You know, those diverse group of eukaryotic single-celled or multinucleate organisms that live by decomposing and absorbing the organic material in which they grow including molds, mildews, smuts, rusts, and yeasts, and classified in the kingdom Fungi or, in some classification systems, in the division Fungi (Thallophyta) of the kingdom Plantae – (crazy what’s bouncing around in my head sometimes – (kidding).
Regardless of their definition, we’ve now narrowed down Dr. Ray’s subject matter to all things “organic” and we couldn’t be happier to share them with the world.
But, who knows? Next week we’ll get rocks or something and blow this new theory right out of the water.
In the meantime, enjoy these shots while you can and check back regularly to see what future subject(s) TJ has up his proverbial sleeve.
