Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five disturbances, four alarms, three suspicious activities, two careless drivers, two welfare concerns, a public intoxication, a motorist assist, a 911 hang up call, an illegally parked car, a credit card fraud, an animal complaint and an ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated 14 wrecks, issued 23 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges:

Domestic Violence
No tag and possession of drug paraphernalia
Public intoxication and possession of Schedule II narcotics
Careless driving, no insurance, no driver’s license and child restraint
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a suspicious vehicle at Kinard Hall, a vehicle accident at Overby Center, an intoxicated person at Oxford-University stadium, an accidental hit and run at the Library annex and a traffic assist with the Ford Center.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 10:22 a.m. by cleaning at 703 Faulkner Woods
Smoke detector activation at 2:40 p.m. (and later 4:06 p.m.) by workers at University parking garage
Wreck at 3:16 p.m. but no entrapment at Highway 6 in front of Moore’s
Smoke detector activated at 7:31 p.m. by cooking at 1827 East Jackson Avenue
