With less than a week until the Ole Miss volleyball team reports for preseason camp, the SEC announced the television schedule for the 2016 season Tuesday, and the Rebels will be featured at least six times, including four on the SEC Network and two on ESPNU.

Ole Miss, who recorded back-to-back 20 win seasons for the first time in three decades, was featured five times in 2014 and six times in 2015.

There are four wildcard slots at the end of the season that the SEC Network will choose.

Matches not on ESPNU or the SEC Network will be available on SEC Network + via WatchESPN, SEC Network.com and the ESPN app. Will Kollmeyer and Renata Heard will have the call for all home matches on SEC Network +.

All home matches this year will be played at The Pavilion at Ole Miss while the Gillom Sports Center is undergoing a renovation.

Third-year head coach Steven McRoberts welcomes back four starters from last year’s 22-win team, including lone senior Aubrey Edie, who needs xxx assists to become the career record holder. The Rebels also return juniors Taylor Alexander, Kate Gibson and Lexi Thompson and sophomore Kathryn Cather, who made the All-Freshman Team last year.

Six new players – featuring All-Americans, defensive dandies and state champions – round out the Rebel squad.

Players report back to campus Aug. 8 for team meetings, while the first preseason practice will be Aug. 9.

Ole Miss produced approximately 100 SEC Network + events last year that were streamed on WatchESPN, SECNetwork.com and the ESPN app. As a conference, SEC schools broadcast more than 1,000 SEC Network + events annually, and last year, more than 350 students gained national television experience contributing to those on-campus productions.
