New Northwest Faculty Introduced, Quality Enhancement Plan Unveiled

Northwest Mississippi Community College held its opening faculty meeting on Aug. 15 on the Senatobia campus, during which new full-time faculty members were recognized and the college’s new 10-year Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) was introduced.

New faculty on the Senatobia campus are Rochelle Beaver, Melissa Evans, Lauren Flores and Leslie Russell, nursing instructors; Shay Carter, biology instructor; Sheena Etherton, business and office technology instructor; Michael Franklin, collision repair technology instructor; Rebecca Mitchell, English instructor; Sandra Smith, computer instructor; Lela Stennett, reading instructor and Vicki Watson, practical nursing instructor; Savannah Mask, lab coordinator, Early Childhood Education Technology program and Dr. Susanne Strehle, Dual Enrollment coordinator.

Five new faculty members at the DeSoto Center are Ezell Allen and Thomas Koslowski, mathematics instructors; Gregory Massey, English instructor; Deborah Thompson, hotel and restaurant management technology instructor and Carrie Wigley, business instructor.

On the Oxford campus, four new faculty members are Joshua Guest, mathematics instructor and Sandra McGeehee, Lauren Murphree and Deborah Wilson, practical nursing instructors.

Jason Jones was introduced as the college’s new Writing Center director. The center is located on the Senatobia campus in the McLendon Center, Room 222, and plans are in place for centers to be completed on both the DeSoto and Oxford campuses as a part of the college’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) for the college’s reaffirmation of accreditation with SACSCOC. The QEP is “Rangers Write!” and is focused on improving student writing.
