Chancellor Jeff Vitter was surprised with a special gift Friday morning during the “First-To-Know” breakfast sponsored by the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce. Vitter was presented with a portrait of his two dogs Mario and Luigi who died recently.

The portrait was crafted by Rosie Vassallo, a local artist, and member of the Chamber of Commerce staff. Vassallo operates her pet portrait business out of her Oxford home.

Known to be active on social media to connect with the Ole Miss community, Vitter took to Twitter to express his appreciation.
