Kickoff for Ole Miss’ October 1 homecoming football game against the Memphis Tigers has been set for 6 p.m. It will be televised by ESPN2, ESPNU or the SEC Network alternate channel.

That contest will be the first night game at the renovated Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Among the renovations are new LED lights that will get their chance to truly shine for the first time.

In the most recent game against No. 1 Alabama, which the Rebels dropped by a 48-43 margin, a school-record and state of Mississippi record crowd of 66,176 enjoyed all the other areas of improvement to the stadium, such as three new videoboard displays, a bowled-in north end zone, a south end zone field club, new sound system and new concessions and restrooms.

No. 21 Ole Miss (1-2) will host No. 11 Georgia (3-0) this Saturday at 11 a.m., televised by ESPN. It’s the third time in four games that the Rebels will face a top-11 ranked opponent.
