For the second time this season, Northwest Mississippi Community College freshman Brandon Carrillo has been selected the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Carrillo tied his career-high with nine saves last week in a 2-1 road victory at Holmes. The win snapped the Rangers’ five-match losing skid and kept Northwest alive in the postseason picture.

Since receiving the honor in week one, the Ripley native has compiled 75 season saves through 12 matches, 25th in the NJCAA, with a .714 save percentage.

Northwest (5-6-1, 3-3-1 MACJC) will close out the regular season on Friday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. against Itawamba. A win and the Rangers are in the MACJC playoffs.
