Three Keys to Beating Auburn
After yet another tough loss for Ole Miss, the Rebels will square off against the Auburn Tigers this Saturday in the friendly confines of Vaught-Hemingway. The Rebels and the Tigers have split the last two matchups. Here are three things that the Rebels need to do to get back to their winning ways.
1. Throw the Ball
When Ole Miss has had success this season, it has been largely due to the passing game. Chad Kelly entered this season as a Heisman Trophy candidate, and the Rebel receivers are some of the best in the business. Ole Miss needs to get back to what they are best at if they want to win this game.
2. Contain the Run
Auburn is a very tricky team to stop. They have a prolific run game, as well as a quarterback in Sean White who always makes the smart decision. To keep the Tigers off the board as much as possible, it is key to slow down and contain their run game. Ole Miss needs to keep Auburn’s rushing game in check to get the W.
3. Play with Emotion
Most of the Rebel’s preseason goals are all but forgotten. However, that does not mean that this season is meaningless. Ole Miss has the talent to defeat any team in the entire country, but they need to find a spark. The Rebels need to come out and play with plenty of emotion to win this game and turn their season around.
