Police Make Arrest After Driver Leaves The Scene and More in Daily Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Ambulance assist, two suspicious vehicles, two fire department assist, simple assault, littering, civil matter, reported DUI, elderly assist, seven alarms, three suspicious activities, three disturbing the peace.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued nine traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Speeding, Leaving the Scene of Accident and DUI
Domestic Violence
Careless Driving, Ran Red Light and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: accident, two alarms, two animal complaints, residential burglary (Hwy 30), four disturbances, harassment, malicious mischief, seven service calls, suspicious activity, welfare concern, trespassing, two civil matters, traffic complaint, two follow ups.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made three arrests on the following charges
1 traffic stop arrest
1 contempt warrant
1 trespassing
No report from the Fire Department
University Police report
Officers made four vehicle stops on campus.
Responded to a disturbance call at the Turner Center and a report of vandalism at Brown Hall.
A report of larceny at the procurement services.
