Oxford police responded to the following calls: Improper Parking, five Alarms, Ambulance Assist, Fire Department Assist, Harassing Phone Call, Simple Assault, Suspicious Person, Welfare Concern, Utility Theft, Suspicious Vehicle, Suspicious Activity, Motorist Assist, Disturbing the Peace, Burglary of a Residence (Hathorn Rd).
Oxford police investigated 4 wrecks, issued 11 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Careless Driving and DUI
Speeding, Reckless Driving, Failure to Yield Emergency Vehicle, Suspended Driving License, No Proof of Liability Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Fake ID
3 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents:  two accidents three alarms, three disturbances, two petit larceny, harassment, malicious mischief, five service calls, four suspicious activities, welfare concern, civil matter, natural cause death, ID theft, traffic complaint.

Elevator shaft smoke detector malfunction at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Cutting sheet rock activated a smoke detector at Lafayette Place Bldg. 5000.
Cam truck picking up rubbish hit a gas meter, stood by for Center Point Energy to repair it at Lewis Lane / Stone Road.
Call was a smell of gas – FD checked the inside and outside of the house with the gas meter and did not find any leak or smell at 1542 East Jackson Ave.
University Police: 13 vehicle stops, four suspicious vehicles, two assists with traffic, harassment, larceny, public drunk, three motor vehicle accident
