Child Neglect Arrest, Domestic Disturbances And More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: four alarms, two reported DUI’s, two fire department assist, trespass, two petit larceny, two suspicious activity, domestic disturbance, three 911 hang-ups, two welfare concerns, disturbing the peace, animal complaint, false pretense, counterfeit currency, malicious mischief.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, issued 22 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Improper Equipment (No Headlights) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
No Driving License and DUI
Speeding and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: two alarms, animal complaint, auto burglary, seven disturbances, harassment, eight service calls, four suspicious activities, scam, two civil matters, traffic complaint.

disorderly conduct and resisting arrest
Oxford Fire Department:
Staff turned on stove, forgetting to turn on the vent-a-hood activating the kitchen smoke detector at Fat Eddie’s Lamar Lounge.
Opening the back door let smoke from the fire pit inside activating the rear dining area smoke detector at Fat Eddie’s Lamar Lounge.
University Police: harassing telephone calls to Campus Walk Apts, larceny to the Kincannon field lot.
