Domestic Violence, Code Violation And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: six suspicious activities, five alarms, noise violation, lost property, two welfare concerns, two 911 hang ups, simple assault, two reported DUI driver’s, two animal complaints, two petit larcenies, two disturbances, code violation.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 23 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Shoplifting
Speeding & DUI
2 Trespassing
Warrant Served
Speeding, No Seatbelt & DUI
Domestic Violence
Harassing Phone Calls (Post Arrest Citation)
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: two accidents, alarm, two animal complaints, five disturbances, nine service calls, four suspicious activities, vandalism, three welfare concerns, two transports, civil matters, dumping, unauthorized use of vehicle.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrests
simple assault (2 counts)
Oxford Fire Department:
Wreck on Hwy. 6 West with car fire — fire extinguished.
University Police: four vehicle stops, larceny, vandalism, service call—ambulance needed, simple assault domestic violence.
